I wrote this song while reminiscing about my childhood. I was quite naughty myself. In elementary school I used to sing songs in class and get scolded by the teacher. But I had a lot of friends and I remember being very competitive. How was your childhood?

2. inside the temple
When I wrote this song, I was really interested in Central Asia, India and Southeast Asia...
I wrote this song with the image of people visiting temples and praying quietly in Asia. It is my favorite song on the "asian river" album.

3. water
As the title suggests, this song was written with the image of water and sparkling water surfaces in mind. It fits the atmosphere of the cover and I feel that this song has taken the album to another level of perfection.

4. spring in central asia
As I mentioned in the explanation of the second track, I was very interested in Central Asia at the time of making the album, and this song was also written with Central Asia as a motif. I think I was able to create a spring-like atmosphere. It is a song that I am personally attached to.

5. evening
I wrote this song with the image of afternoons and evenings in Asian countries in mind. The vocal material in the middle of the song is based on actual audio played on foreign radio.

6. philosopher
This is the counterpart to the first song, "childhood". The song is about a child who has a strange idea.

7. the butterfly dream
While incorporating Chinese instruments, the texture of the song is a bit different and cleaner than the other six songs.

ピアノ音色をフィーチャーしたインストゥルメンタルヒップホップのアルバムが完成しました。日常に寄り添うような、エモくて優しいサウンドです。

1. childhood
子ども時代を思い起こしながら書いた曲。
僕自身結構やんちゃだったというか、小学校のときは授業中によく歌を歌って先生に怒られていました。でも友達も多かったし、すごく負けず嫌いだったのを覚えています。

2. inside the temple
この曲を作った頃、中央アジアやインド、東南アジアにすごく興味があって…
アジアのお寺を訪れる人や、静かに祈りを捧げる人々をイメージしてこの曲を書きました。アルバム「asian river」の中で一番好きな曲です。

3. water
タイトル通り、水の中やキラキラした水面をイメージして書いた曲。ジャケの雰囲気にも合っていて、この曲のおかげでアルバムの完成度が一段上がった気がしています。

4. spring in central asia
2曲目の解説でも書きましたが、アルバムを作った当時めちゃくちゃ中央アジアに興味があって、この曲も中央アジアをモチーフに書いた1曲です。春っぽい雰囲気が出せたかなと。個人的にも思い入れのある曲だったりします。

5. evening
この曲もアジアの国の午後や夜をイメージして曲を書きました。途中の声ネタは、実際に海外のラジオで流れた音声を使っています。

6. philosopher
これは1曲目の「childhood」の対になる曲ですね。子どもが突飛なアイデアを思いつく様子を曲にしました。

7. the butterfly dream
曲タイトルは「胡蝶の夢」という意味。中国の楽器を取り入れつつ、曲の質感は、ほかの6曲とは少し変えてクリーンな感じにしています。
